- Owner & director of Handle Associates Learning Center in Guilford, Connecticut. Developed & implements: Advanced Studies, Test Preparation: An Individualized Approach, The Writing Skills and Essential Skills Programs (math &/or reading) and Study Skills. Author of the Handle Associates Writing Skills Workbook. Authorized educational consultant for the Flex Test. Laura graduated summa cum laude from Iona College with a B.A. in English. She holds a M.A. in Literature from Fordham and a Sixth Year in Ed. Admin. from S.C.S.U. She has been teaching writing and language skills for more than thirty years. She has served as a high school English teacher and administrator in public schools in NY, NJ, and CT as well as Adjunct Instructor of Writing at Quinnipiac College for ten years. She served as principal of a Connecticut public middle school before establishing Handle Associates in 1995.
